Peter Ligouri Sweeps E&BC Classic Worlds with Masterclass Performance

The E&BC Classic Worlds field returned on July 25, 2026, for another high-octane battle, and Peter Ligouri put on an absolute clinic from start to finish. Ligouri dominated the seven-game qualifying block in Tournament Play, setting the standard for the field with a blistering 1812 handicap total and the tournament's highest scratch series at 1364 (highlighted by steady, high-caliber games of 232, 215, and 211).

While Ligouri held a comfortable lead atop the standings, the battle for the top spots was fierce. George Pinegar mounted a relentless chase to finish in 2nd place with a strong 1638 total (1323 scratch), while Kasandra Kelley put together a phenomenal, consistent run—firing a high scratch game of 215 in game six—to claim 3rd place overall with a 1611 total (1156 scratch). Dustin Mygatt (1584 total) and John Verbil (1567 total) rounded out the top five in an impressive field of 26 bowlers.

When the action shifted to the Eliminator final, the championship match came down to a head-to-head clash between the tournament's top performers: Peter Ligouri and Kasandra Kelley. Kelley put up a solid fight, finishing with a 215 handicap score (150 scratch), but Ligouri refused to yield. Turning in his best performance of the day, Ligouri fired a massive 221 scratch game (285 with handicap) to seal the Eliminator title and complete a dominant tournament sweep.

Tournament Director Eric Carroll and the E&BC crew commended the players for another competitive, high-scoring event. Ligouri's sweep makes a major statement on the tour as the 2026 season continues to heat up.
